Um espaço que inspira

Desde 2017, a Molde acompanha a trajetória da One Chair, um lugar que vai muito além de barbearia. É galeria, é palco, é espaço de convivência criativa. Para traduzir essa atmosfera, nasceu uma collab entre One Chair, Molde e a designer e ilustradora Gabriella Prussak. O resultado: uma série de velas aromáticas transformadas em objeto artístico e colecionável.

A Molde assumiu a direção criativa com um propósito claro: elevar um simples rótulo a um gesto significativo. Propusemos que cada embalagem fosse mais do que suporte, mas também obra. A forma piramidal, montada manualmente sem faca de corte, trouxe o caráter artesanal e a materialidade que buscávamos. A escolha da diagramação minimalista e da tipografia contemporânea foi estratégica: dar contraste e respiro às ilustrações intensas.

A ilustradora Gabriella Prussak desenhou diretamente sobre cada embalagem, em crayon. Foram dez ilustrações diferentes, cada uma retratando cenas que orbitam o universo da One Chair: fragmentos da vida cotidiana, da natureza que circunda a cidade, da música presente no espaço e da própria experiência de estar na barbearia. Esses registros, brutos e poéticos, transformam a vela em narrativa visual. O uso do crayon — um material agressivo, que borra, mancha e se desfaz — em contraste com o papel delicado reforça a dualidade central do projeto: entre a fragilidade do suporte e a força do gesto.

Produzidas em parceria com a Lobas e Lírios, cada vela carrega não só um aroma pensado para o espaço, mas também o gesto da mão, o tempo da montagem e a curadoria estética. Limitadas a dez unidades, as velas foram concebidas como peças exclusivas e colecionáveis. Tornaram-se um manifesto sobre como design e arte, juntos, podem transformar até o objeto mais cotidiano em experiência sensível e de valor.

One Chair: hand-illustrated packaging

Since 2017, Molde has been part of One Chair’s journey — a place that goes far beyond being a barbershop. It is also a gallery, a stage, a hub for creative encounters. To translate this atmosphere, a collaboration was born between One Chair, Molde, and designer-illustrator Gabriella Prussak. The result: a series of aromatic candles transformed into artistic and collectible objects.

Molde led the creative direction with a clear purpose: to elevate a simple label into a meaningful gesture. We proposed that each package should be more than a container — it should become a piece in itself. The pyramidal shape, hand-assembled without die-cutting, emphasized the artisanal character and the materiality we were seeking. The choice of minimal layout and contemporary typography was strategic: to create contrast and breathing space for the intense illustrations.

Illustrator Gabriella Prussak drew directly onto each package using crayon. Ten different illustrations were created, each depicting scenes orbiting the One Chair universe: fragments of everyday life, the surrounding nature of the city, the music within the space, and the experience of being in the barbershop itself. These raw yet poetic records turned the candle into a visual narrative. The use of crayon — an aggressive material that smudges, stains, and wears away — contrasted with the delicate paper, reinforcing the central duality of the project: between the fragility of the support and the strength of the gesture.

Produced in collaboration with Lobas e Lírios, each candle carries not only a scent crafted for the space but also the trace of the hand, the time of manual assembly, and the curatorial eye. Limited to just ten units, the candles were conceived as exclusive, collectible pieces. They became a manifesto of how design and art, together, can transform even the most ordinary object into a sensitive and valuable experience.
